During the transition, Betsy Rowell will continue serving as interim executive director until a permanent leader is selected.

The Downtown Hattiesburg Association (DHA) is seeking a visionary leader to serve as Executive Director. This dynamic role focuses on fostering downtown revitalization, economic development, and community engagement through Main Street America’s “Four-Point” Approach: Economic Vitality, Design, Promotion, and Organization. The Executive Director will work closely with the DHA Board of Directors, lead strategic initiatives, and represent Downtown Hattiesburg at regional and national levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Cultivating partnerships with local and state agencies.

Supporting downtown businesses with resources and expertise.

Overseeing data management and program evaluation.

Leading signature events and ensuring financial accountability.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing, community development, or organizational planning.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
