Altar in the Open is a citywide gathering hosted in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. It’s a public event centered on prayer, worship, and seeking God’s presence together, designed to encourage unity, hope, and peace in the community. The event will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Town Square Park. The purpose of Altar in the Open is to bring people together in an open space for collective spiritual expression and to create an atmosphere where the city can encounter God beyond church walls. Lawn Chairs and blankets are encouraged.
