The ragtag group of misfit Hattiesburg musicians exploring the sonic goldmine of the music of the greatest American band of all time, GRATEFUL DEAD, are returning to the G&G in lovely and lively downtown Hattiesburg for round 2 of a New Year’s Eve celebration you just don’t want to miss. We rang in 2025 with the first ever HAPPY NEW WEIR party at the G, and now we get to say THANK YOU FOR A REAL GOOD TIME to 2025 and Our good friend Allen Cummings of The Terrapins will be joining us, ALSO for the second year in a row. He’s a good luck charm for us at this point. Not to mention a helluva guitar player and the nicest guy ever.
Mark Mann, a local Hattiesburg artist that has transcended merely being a musician and has become an institution, will be initiating the proceedings with an opening set of his Americana-tinged originals.
There’s gonna be friends. Fellowship. Food. Champagne. A NYE countdown. Mark Mann. Special guest Allen Cummings. The music of the Grateful Dead. The lyrics of Robert Hunter sublimating into the aether and jubilantly propagating right into your very being. Or… something.
Yeah, there’s gonna be all that. There’s gonna be all that AND much more. There’s gonna be things happening that have never happened before and won’t ever happen again.
