Oboist Pablo Hernandez will present a Faculty Recital featuring a program that highlights the range and versatility of the oboe through works from the 19th century and the present day. He will be joined by University of Southern Mississippi faculty Michael Bunchmann (piano), Nick Ciraldo (guitar), and Kim Woolly (bassoon).
The program includes the American premiere of a concerto for oboe by Brazilian composer Dimitri Cervo. This recital offers an opportunity to hear the oboe in a variety of musical contexts and styles, reflecting both historical foundations and contemporary perspectives.
