Join Hattiesburg Parks and Recreation for Blues of Summer on Thursday, July 16, from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Commons at Gordon’s Creek.

As part of Parks and Recreation Week, Blues of Summer brings together live music, local art, great food and family-friendly activities for an afternoon of community fun. Enjoy a live performance by renowned blues musician Vasti Jackson while exploring food vendors, local artists and hands-on crafts, all inspired by the color blue as we celebrate the “blues” of summer coming to an end.

Whether you’re a blues music fan, looking for a fun afternoon with the family or just want to enjoy one of Hattiesburg’s newest gathering spaces, there’s something for everyone.

Admission is free, and all ages are welcome. We hope you’ll join us as we celebrate the power of parks and recreation and send summer off in true Hattiesburg style.
