A rainy-day delay has turned into perfect back-to-school timing!

Originally planned for May, our sixth annual StoryWalk® was postponed because of the weather. Now it is returning just as children are heading back to school and getting back into the reading groove!

Join us Saturday, August 15, from 10 a.m. to noon as the pages of Where’s My Teddy? by Jez Alborough wind their way through the Pocket Museum alley. Families can follow the story page by page while enjoying movement, fresh air and a little Pocket Museum magic.

The first 250 children will receive a FREE brand-new, age-appropriate book to take home! StoryWalk® is designed especially for children ages 1–7, but older children and grown-ups are welcome to join the fun too.

There is nothing quite like seeing a child’s face light up when they receive a new book of their very own. We are so happy the weather gave us a second chance to bring this wonderful event back to the alley!

StoryWalk® is presented by the Southern Miss School of Library and Information Science, The Library of Hattiesburg, Petal & Forrest County, Oak Grove Public Library and the Pocket Museum.
